Have you ever thought of hypnotherapy as a
means towards overcoming birth trauma?
Hypnotherapy is a well established
technique for treating trauma in a number of situations - and birth trauma is
no exception.
Here hypnotherapist Hugh Clover unveils
just how hypnosis can help people suffering birth trauma as well as outlining
how it can also be of benefit in helping other aspects of child birth. Hugh embellishes
his argument with personal anecdotal experience of working with mothers both
prior to and following birth.

I am often asked - Can hypnotherapy work
with children? Well the answer is simply yes. In fact, it is arguable that it
can work better with children than adults - and, of course, it works extremely
well with adults.
The reason for its appropriateness with
children is that children are generally blessed with wonderful imaginations,
and therefore can be more open to
positive suggestions than adults. The youngest child I have worked with is
seven. (For the record the oldest person is 81).
